Sentimental Lies
ASK BOXARCHIVERANDOM

What is this blog? Well, my friends, this is the personal blog of one Emmy, writer and role player extraordinaire. In this blog you won't find the amazing original work some blogs have to offer. I can't promise a theme or even coherent structure. I can promise the ramblings, reblogs, and failed photoshop attempts of a starving college student. So, if you like the Hunger Games, LOTR, weddings, and other random posts as much as I do I suggest you push the follow button, sit back and enjoy the ride.

I’m going to be wearing my great grandmother’s solje jewelry at my wedding. It’s such a gorgeous way to connect to my heritage on such an important day. I really wanted my jewelry to be important to me in a bigger way than dropping a small fortune on each piece. Besides I think they look pretty spiffy:

For those of you who don’t know solje is the traditional jewelry of Norway. We sometimes call it spoon jewelry for the little gold “spoons” that hang off every piece. I’m also borrowing the solje necklace my sister bought on a trip to Norway. Now all we need is some lutefisk and it’ll be a real Norwegian affair! Uff da!
